Apology letter

We would like to apologise for the delay to the end of the first phase of the regeneration project. This has largely been due to some unforeseen challenges related to the supply of steel for the balconies on the blocks of flats.

We are also very sorry that the date for the completion of the first phase has had to be pushed back from what has been communicated to you in the past.

If you have any further questions please contact Iveta/Ricky or Natalie on 07970639441.

Yours Sincerely

20140606 AS Sherwood consultation v2

Over the Christmas holiday period the Council and Affinity Sutton reviewed the programme for redeveloping the estate and concluded that more time could be allowed for Phase 1 households to move off the estate before demolition starts.

The new date for Phase 1 to leave the estate is now end of June 2014

This new date will allow more time for Phase 1 households to find a new home suitable for their needs.

Tenants in Phase 1 (Archer House, 1-10, 12-21, 70-72 Sherwood Close) are continuing to move out of their existing homes to homes away from the estate and to date 20 of the 53 tenants have moved away.

Please continue to bid on LOCATA to find alternative accommodation. If you have any questions contact Mumta Ganatra on 020 8825 5935 or ganatram@ealing.gov.uk.

Affinity Sutton is delighted to announce it is a proud sponsor of the West Ealing SoundBite Music and Food Festival, organised by West Ealing Neighbours, taking place on Saturday 21st September with events in and around West Ealing’s town centre.

With the additional funding and support of Affinity Sutton, the annual community ‘Family Day’ has expanded into a music and food festival with live local music and local food retailers showcasing their produce. “It’s time to put West Ealing on the map as the place to come for food shopping,” says David Highton, one of the main organisers of the festival.

Among the events taking place include live music and food stalls in Dean Gardens, a farmer’s market and children’s entertainment show on Leeland Road, a community food zone on Melbourne Avenue, a craft market and children’s cooking zone on St James Avenue, and community and food stalls on Uxbridge Road.

“We hope this will be a popular event for all the local community that gives people a chance to see first-hand what a vibrant and diverse place West Ealing is,” says Matt Parsonage, head of neighbourhood investment at Affinity Sutton.
“We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with West Ealing Neighbours and the wider community as our exciting regeneration plans for the Sherwood Close Estate develop.”

Affinity Sutton has been appointed as Ealing Council’s preferred partner to regenerate the Sherwood Close Estate in West Ealing. Over the coming months Affinity Sutton will work closely with the Council, residents, neighbours and local stakeholders in working up detailed design proposals for a new Sherwood Close.

Affinity Sutton’s vision is that by 2018, Sherwood Close will be a thriving, green, mixed tenure neighbourhood with spacious, well designed homes that people enjoy living in.
