The Council has been working with the residents of Dean Gardens for some time and the Sherwood Close Redevelopment Team has sought to build on that relationship.
The team has initially worked closely with residents on gathering feedback on what they liked and disliked about the proposals submitted in the bid document. A resident’s steering group has been created and new members are always welcome. This group has taken part in a number of workshops looking at things like the masterplan, layouts of the inside of the flats and the landscaping of the communal areas.
There have been a number of drop in events for the residents of Sherwood Close, their neighbours and local community groups. These have been well attended and a further drop in event will be held before the planning application is submitted.
More workshops will also take place with residents over the coming months.
